The origin of Akoraye Day Celebration could be traced to the awareness of the community in 1977 that government alone could not afford to provide all the necessary facilities required by her citizenry. Hence, Modakeke community leaders at that time initiated the idea of raising funds for self-help community development projects. It was organized as a forum for sons and daughters of Modakeke as well as their invited guests to meet and raise funds for the development of the town.
Modakeke is committed to transparency and accountability. We provide our members with regular updates on the organization’s financial records, ensuring that all monies received and spent are accounted for, enabling our members to make informed decisions and maintain trust in the community.
